Removing Tag from A Photo on Facebook

Removing a tag from a Facebook tag is a simple task. However, if want to but do not know how, read this post as it aims at showing you just how to remove a tag from a Facebook photo.
Let's face it, there are some photos you get tagged in, which you're not comfortable with. Or at times, you may no longer deem it necessary to leave an estranged person still tagged to a photo you posted. Read on as I unravel how you can untag yourself from a photo and also remove a tag of someone you tagged on your photo.

We'll look at how you untag yourself from a photo first. The steps are listed below.
Untagging Yourself from a Photo
I. On Mobile

Open your Facebook
Click the menu bar on the bottom right corner (iOS) or top right corner (Android)
Click your username. This will take you to your profile
Scroll down to find the posted photo you wish to untag
Click the downward facing arrow on the top right corner of the posted photo
Select Remove tag from the options which come upAt this point, you'll get a prompt message in a new window informing you that you wont be tagged in the post anymore and that it may appear in other places like News Feed or search results. On the window also will be "Cancel" and "OK" options.

Select CancelThis will remove your name from the post and remove the post from your Facebook page. Other people will still be able to see the post if they're friends with the person who posted it, or if the post is public.

II. On Desktop

Go to the Facebook website via https://www.facebook.com and enter your login details to log in
Click the downward facing arrow on the top right corner
Select Activity Log. This will take you to the Activity Log page with options on the left hand side
Select Posts You're Tagged In. This will take you to a new page where very post you've ever been tagged are shown
Click the pencil-shaped icon to the right of the photo you want to untag. A drop down menu with options will appear
Select Report/Remove Tag
Check the box beside the It's Spam option on the pop up window
Click Remove Tag on the new page that comes upYou'll be asked if you're sure at this point. You'll also be provided with "Remove Tag" and "Cancel" option buttons.

Click the Remove Tag buttonThis will remove the tag from the post, and the post will be removed from your Facebook page. Other people will still be able to see the photo if they're friends with the person who posted it, or if the photo is public.

Untagging Someone You Tagged from a Photo
I. On Mobile

Open your Facebook
Click the menu bar on the bottom right corner (iOS) or top right corner (Android)
Click your username. This will take you to your profile
Scroll down to find the posted photo you wish to untag
Click the downward facing arrow on the top right corner of the posted photo
Select Edit Post from the drop down menu
Tap the space in front of the person's name whom wish to untag. Press the backspace button on your mobile device to remove the tag
Click Save on the top right corner of the window.This will save your post's changes and remove the tag.

II. On Desktop

Go to the Facebook website via https://www.facebook.com and enter your login details to log in
Click your username tag on the blue panel on the top of the Facebook pageIf you posted on someone else's page, you'll instead type their name into the search bar at the top of the page, click their name, and then click their profile to go to their page. Still follow the steps below as the untagging process is pretty much the same.

Scroll down and select the photo of interest
Click the ellipses on the top right corner of the posted photo
Select Edit Post from the drop down menu which pops up
Tap the space in front of the person's name whom wish to untag. Press the delete or backspace button on your computer until the name disappearsThis will remove the tagged person from the post.
